Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask North Pike). They blew past the South Jones Braves 71-41 on Thursday. The Jaguars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

North Pike's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kadence Thompson, who posted 22 points along with six rebounds and six steals. Those 22 points gave Thompson a new career-high. Kadence Jordan was another key player, going 9 for 16 en route to 21 points and three steals.

North Pike pushed their record up to 18-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 3-19 South Jones and 5-12 Provine (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 38.2% over those games). As for South Jones, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 14 of their last 16 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-19 record this season.

North Pike won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Provine at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. North Pike is facing Provine at the right time seeing as Provine is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for South Jones, they will also get right back to it: they'll take on Natchez at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
