Football Recap: Sand Creek's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Two

Harrison came into Friday's match looking for another win against Sand Creek, but Ethan Mangrum wouldn't allow it. The Scorpions enjoyed a cozy 40-21 win over the Panthers on Friday with plenty of help from Mangrum, who rushed for 211 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 10.0 yards per carry, and also caught one score. His rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his tenth straight game with at least 120 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Achilles Evans also helped out as he racked up 126 rushing yards. His longest rush was for an incredible 75 yards.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was PHILLIP POGUE, who rushed for 90 yards and one TD on only 12 carries. JEILO HAMENYIMANA was another key player, rushing for 45 yards.

Sand Creek has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sand Creek will host Air Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Harrison, they will be playing at home against George Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
