Frontier is a perfect 3-0 against Iroquois since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Falcons will welcome the Redhawks at 11:00 a.m. The last four games Frontier has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Frontier's hitters will try to repeat the strong performance they gave on Friday, when they got past Hamburg's usually-dominant pitching crew. The Falcons skirted past the Bulldogs 10-8.
Ethan Hediger was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Frontier is undefeated when Hediger allows two or fewer earned runs, but 4-5 otherwise. Hediger was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jacob Hudson, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Frontier's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 4-5 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Evan Sullivan, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
Frontier kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Iroquois strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 9-5 victory over Lancaster.
Dominic Pasek was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That home run was his first of the season. Carson Fragale was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI.
Iroquois pushed their record up to 9-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Frontier, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season.
Frontier skirted past Iroquois 1-0 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will the Falcons repeat their success, or do the Redhawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
