The Verdugo Hills Dons scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They came out on top against Arleta by a score of 76-63. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Alexander Martinez, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds and five steals.
The victory got Verdugo Hills back to even at 8-8. As for Arleta, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6.
Verdugo Hills will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Monroe at 4:30 p.m. Monroe will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1022nd, while Verdugo Hills is ranked 434th). Arleta will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Grant at 7:00 p.m. on January 12th.
