The Maryvale Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Deer Valley Skyhawks at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Maryvale is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
Last Friday, Maryvale took a serious blow against Alhambra, falling 53-6. Maryvale was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-0.
Meanwhile, Deer Valley entered their tilt with Copper Canyon with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Deer Valley blew past Copper Canyon 41-2 at home. The result was nothing new for Deer Valley, who have now won four contests by 20 points or more so far this season.
Deer Valley can attribute much of their success to Dylan English, who threw for 194 yards and two touchdowns.
Alhambra's victory bumped their season record to 1-7 while Maryvale's defeat dropped theirs to 2-6.
