1A-2 Region II District 5 recap October 8, 2013

Iraan added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Van Horn, 54-2. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
Wink's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Wildcats feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Riley Richardson has thrown for 1,032 yards and 9 touchdowns this season, while Malik Harden has 16 catches for 460 yards. Richardson also leads the league in rushing with 431 yards.
An important game coming up in 1A-2 Region II District 5 this week will be when McCamey takes on Iraan. The Badgers are currently in third, while the Braves are in first.
Wink moved up to 610 from 702 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Wildcats climbed the ranks as a result of topping McCamey 42-18.
