The McClain Tigers suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Monday. They suffered a rough 62-36 loss at the hands of Lynchburg-Clay. McClain has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Lynchburg-Clay's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jade Massey led the charge by scoring 17 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. Massey hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. Another player making a difference was Addison West, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
McClain has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season. As for Lynchburg-Clay, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McClain will take on Washington at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Washington is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Lynchburg-Clay, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Whiteoak at 7:30 p.m.
