It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but York Country Day ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They secured a 57-53 W over Dayspring Christian Academy.
Isaiah White and Ryan Maus were among the main playmakers for York Country Day as the former dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds and the latter scored 26 points along with six steals and five assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which Maus has scored at least a third of York Country Day's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Boie, who scored eight points along with six rebounds.
Biglerville suffered their biggest loss yet this season two weeks ago. They had to suffer through a rough 72-34 loss at the hands of Littlestown. While losing is never fun, Biglerville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 646th, while Littlestown is ranked 234th).
York Country Day's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-1. As for Biglerville, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.
York Country Day came out on top in a nail-biter against Biglerville when the teams last played back in December of 2023, sneaking past 52-49. Will York Country Day repeat their success, or does Biglerville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
