The Pleasanton Bulldogs won the last time they faced the Fullerton Warriors, and things went their way on Friday too. Pleasanton strolled past Fullerton with points to spare, taking the game 46-28.
Pleasanton can attribute much of their success to Tyra Sekutera, who scored 14 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sekutera has scored all season. Natalie Rasmussen was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five steals.
Fullerton's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Makayla Robinson, who scored eight points. Another player making a difference was Paige Horn, who scored two points along with five rebounds and five steals.
The win got Pleasanton back to even at 8-8. As for Fullerton, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.
Pleasanton's road trip will continue as they head out to face Elm Creek at 6:00 p.m. on January 29th. As for Fullerton, they will take on Heartland Lutheran at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
