Big 8 recap November 5, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in Big 8 this week, Cassville beat Hollister 47-6. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Wildcats.
Lamar took down El Dorado Springs 63-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Lucas Hertzberg was a key player and the best on defense this week as Carl Junction defeated Republic. The 5-foot-10 junior forced 1 fumble.
William Blankenship was a beast in the backfield as Aurora beat Monett.
Dustin Satterlee was a passing and rushing force as the Bulldogs bested the Tigers. He completed 15 passes for 215 yards and also ran for 144 yards. Satterlee's favorite target this week was Matt Magee, who caught 6 passes for 112 yards.
Payton Rawlins threw for 221 yards and 3 touchdowns. He was 12-15 with 0 interceptions.
Blankenship was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 263 yards on 40 carries as the Houn Dawgs defeated Republic. Dylan Cullers also contributed to the rushing game with 30 yards on the ground.
Thanks to the talents of Rawlins and Braxton Graham, Seneca has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Rawlins leads the league in passing with 2,080 yards, while Graham has rushed for 1,822 yards this season. Doug Buckmaster's team's Magee leads the league in receiving yards with 850 on 54 catches.
The Indians are in third place, while Cassville is in fourth place.
