Baseball Recap: Princeton Makes It Seven in a Row at Home

While Princeton's victory against Tell City wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Marksmen 4-2. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Conor Marsh was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Jarrett Kinder, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Princeton's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games. As for Tell City, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Princeton will welcome Gibson Southern at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Tigers 2.6, the Titans 2) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Tell City, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Evansville Christian at 5:00 p.m.
