Basketball Recap: Ravenscroft's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

Ravenscroft posted their biggest victory since November 15th on Monday. They blew past the GRACE Christian Eagles 63-39. The Ravens have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Ravenscroft's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alyssa Bullock, who went 7 for 12 on her way to 15 points and five steals. Bullock continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Virag, who posted nine points in addition to six steals and five assists.

Ravenscroft was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive contests.

Ravenscroft moved to 5-7 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak. As for GRACE Christian, their loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ravenscroft will venture away from home to challenge Wakefield at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. GRACE Christian will take on South Wake in a holiday battle at at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. South Wake will roll in looking for their 15th straight victory, something GRACE Christian surely won't give up without a fight.
