Calvary Chapel Academy found out winning isn't easy when you don't work as a unit and post 12 fewer assists than your opponent.
When it comes to explaining why Calvary Chapel Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ryan Adema. Despite the final result, he scored 18 points.
Faith Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Josiah Brown led the charge by dropping a double-double on 13 points and 10 rebounds. Kemani McAllister was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
Calvary Chapel Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Faith Christian, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Calvary Chapel Academy will challenge Merritt Island Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Merritt Island Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 30 on Friday. As for Faith Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Foundation Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Foundation Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 275th, while Faith Christian is ranked 109th).
