After only two  runs in their last  game, Kosciusko made sure to put some  runs up on the board against Brandon  on Saturday. The Kosciusko Whippets came out on top in a nail-biter against the Brandon Bulldogs  and snuck past  10-8.

Whitehead has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in four consecutive pitching appearances. Whitehead was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-4.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  GracieKate Burrell, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Makynlee Dickerson, who  scored three  runs while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 Like Kosciusko, Brandon also got a great game from a two-way player:  Dakota Davis. On the mound, she  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (she also only allowed one  walk). Davis was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-4 with three  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Hannah Jo Sullivan made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.  Lila Harrison was another key contributor,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances.
 Kosciusko has  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record  this season. As for Brandon, their loss  ended  a  four-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 6-6.
 Kosciusko will be staying on the road  on Tuesday to face off against Houston at 6:30  p.m. Houston is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 6.4  runs per game this season. As for Brandon, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Meridian at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Meridian is coming into the  contest with four straight  wins at home,  so Brandon will have to stop a  squad with plenty of momentum.
