The Abilene Eagles will square off against the Wylie Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Wylie will be up against a hot Abilene team: the squad just extended their winning streak to nine. The Eagles' pitchers stepped up to hand Legacy a 16-0 shutout on Friday. The Eagles' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Izabella Rocha was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, she posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in February. She was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.
In other batting news, Abilene got a massive performance out of Mariah Estrada, who scored three runs while going 3-for-3. What's more, Estrada posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Germanie Williams was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-4.
Abilene always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Legacy only posted an OBP of .250.
Meanwhile, Wylie got the win against Legacy on Tuesday by a conclusive 23-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.
Abilene pushed their record up to 15-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Wylie, their win bumped their record up to 12-10.
Abilene came out on top in a nail-biter against Wylie in their previous matchup two weeks ago, sneaking past 1-0. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
