If Skyridge wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Westlake, they should've done a better job of containing Talon Schank. The Thunder had just enough and edged out the Falcons 3-2 thanks in part to Schank, who had 27 digs and three assists. He is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had ten or more in each of the last six games he's played.

Westlake was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (114-106), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 16-25, 19-25, 29-27, 27-25, 15-12.

Westlake is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Skyridge, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

Westlake has already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Lehi on the 9th. As for Skyridge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against American Fork on the 10th.
