Dallas and Greater Nanticoke Area are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2016, but likely not for long. The Dallas Mountaineers are headed away from home for the first time to face off against the Greater Nanticoke Area Trojans at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Greater Nanticoke Area took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Dallas, who comes in off a win.

Dallas is headed out to face Greater Nanticoke Area after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. Dallas walked away with a 5-2 win over Wyoming Area on Wednesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Mountaineers as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak dating back to last season.

NINA BARROUK made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. BARROUK was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on JADE SMITH, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run. LIA RILEY was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI.

Dallas lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in March of 2024.

Meanwhile, Greater Nanticoke Area was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 14-3 to Scranton.

Cecily Johnson was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one triple. Another player making a difference was Haley Verazin, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Dallas took their win against Greater Nanticoke Area in their previous matchup back in May of 2022 by a conclusive 16-2. Will Dallas repeat their success, or does Greater Nanticoke Area have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
