Football Recap: Southern Choctaw Piles Up the Points Against Shields

Southern Choctaw never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past the Shields Panthers, posting a 50-0 win. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Indians just coasted through the last quarter.

Ray Bender was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for nine yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 111 yards and one TD while completing 87.5% of his passes. That's the most rushing touchdowns he has posted since back in September of 2024. Demarco Johnson was in the mix as well, providing Southern Choctaw with two scores.

Southern Choctaw has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 40.5 points this season. As for Shields, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.
