Richland (Johnstown, Pa.) kept up a steady attack all game long to beat
Bishop Guilfoyle (Altoona, Pa.), 43-14, on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a two-point conversion in the first quarter, the Rams led 22-7 at the half.
Richland grew its lead to 29 points entering the fourth quarter. RHS scored two times in the third, including once on a
Tanner Solarczyk touchdown run.
Richland's standout player in the win was Shaffer. The senior quarterback ran for two touchdowns. He has now scored four touchdowns on the season.
A 35-7 Richland victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
Bishop Guilfoyle (0-2) goes up against Cambria Heights in a Laurel Highlands game matchup next week, while Richland (2-0) locks horns with Bedford also in a Laurel Highlands game.
