The Red Cloud Warriors will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Franklin Flyers at 6:00 p.m. Red Cloud will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
Last Thursday, Red Cloud didn't have too much trouble with Deshler at home as they won 34-18. Red Cloud pushed the score to 32-12 by the end of the third, a deficit Deshler cut but never quite recovered from.
Red Cloud found their leader in underclassman Wyatt Frey, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. Frey continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Gage Ely, who scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, Franklin scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They really took it to Elba for the full four quarters, racking up a 55-18 victory at home. Perhaps unsurprisinly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.
Red Cloud's win bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Franklin, their win ended a 11-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-15.
Red Cloud strolled past Franklin in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 by a score of 47-29. Does Red Cloud have another victory up their sleeve, or will Franklin turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
