The Pusch Ridge Christian Academy Lions will head out to challenge the Cholla Chargers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Last Thursday, Pusch Ridge Christian Academy came up short against Maricopa and fell 6-3. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Josie Burnside spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and four unearned) runs on four hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, Hadley English was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Addie Norris, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one RBI.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last matchup, Cholla made sure to put some runs up on the board against Amphitheater on Thursday. Cholla was the clear victor by a 19-2 margin over Amphitheater. The result was nothing new for the Chargers, who have now won three games by 17 runs or more so far this season.
Isabella Pratti made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Pratti was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, Maiya Encinas was a standout: she scored three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Araceli Nelson also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Cholla always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .742. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Cholla has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.0 runs over those games. Pusch Ridge Christian Academy now has a losing record of 6-7.
Tuesday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Pusch Ridge Christian Academy has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .463. However, it's not like Cholla struggles in that department as they've averaged .559. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Pusch Ridge Christian Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against Cholla in their previous meeting back in April of 2021, sneaking past 6-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pusch Ridge Christian Academy since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
