The Harriman Blue Devils lost against the Midway Green Wave back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Harriman lost to Midway at home by a decisive 53-37 margin. While losing is never fun, Harriman can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 333rd, while Midway is ranked 157th).
When it comes to explaining why Harriman lost, one person who can't be blamed is Aaralyn Humphrey. Despite the final result, she scored two points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexi Rose, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Harriman has not been sharp recently as the team's lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record this season. As for Midway, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-5.
Harriman will take on Greenback at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Midway, they and Rockwood will face off at 6:30 p.m. on February 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
