The Victor Blue Devils lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on on Saturday was a bit more commanding. Their rough 81-57 loss to Bishop Timon-St. Jude might stick with them for a while. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Bishop Timon-St. Jude's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaiden Harrison led the charge by scoring 24 points along with eight assists and five rebounds. Harrison is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last eight games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nakyhi Harris, who almost dropped a double-double on 24 points and nine rebounds.
Victor's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Bishop Timon-St. Jude, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-2.
Victor will be playing at home against Fairport at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Fairport knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight matches -- so hopefully Victor likes a good challenge. As for Bishop Timon-St. Jude, they will head out on the road to square off against Nichols at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop Timon-St. Jude is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 84.1 points per game this season.
