The Grenada Chargers pushed their score all the way to 72 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 89-72 bruising from North Panola. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Saturday (68), Grenada still had to take the loss.
Caleb Howard and Kelton Jones certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Howard dropped a double-double on 27 points and 11 rebounds, while Jones scored 25 points. The matchup was Howard's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Travis Wilks, who scored six points.
Grenada are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.7 points per game. As for North Panola, they pushed their record up to 6-3 with that win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.
Grenada will be home for the holidays to greet Winona at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for North Panola, they will head out on the road to face off against Lewisburg at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
