The Westhope/Newburg Sioux scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They walked away with a 61-48 victory over Parshall. The win was a breath of fresh air for Westhope/Newburg as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Westhope/Newburg's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kimberly Tabarez, who almost dropped a triple-double on 16 points, 11 rebounds, and nine steals. Tabarez is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Marleigh Henry was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Westhope/Newburg's victory bumped their record up to 5-14. As for Parshall, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-10.
Westhope/Newburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Parshall won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Ray at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th.
