The Ontario Christian Knights will be playing at home against the Dana Hills Dolphins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Friday, everything came up roses for Ontario Christian at home against Heritage Christian as the squad secured a 47-15 win. The victory was just what Ontario Christian needed coming off of a 50-30 defeat in their prior matchup.
Ontario Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Hayden Slegers, who threw for 269 yards and two touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Escoto, who rushed for 52 yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Dana Hills had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They put the hurt on Northwood with a sharp 42-21 victory. The score was all tied up 14-14 at the break, but Dana Hills was the (much) better team in the second half.
Dana Hills' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jace Lowe, who threw for 368 yards and five touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Noah Kucera, who picked up 145 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Ontario Christian's win was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.3 points per game. As for Dana Hills, their win bumped their record up to 8-2.
