The Era Hornets lost against the Collinsville Pirates back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Era fell 65-54 to Collinsville. Era has struggled against Collinsville recently, as their match on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Collinsville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chad Davidson, who scored 18 points along with seven assists and six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Davidson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Carpenter, who scored 21 points along with two steals.
Era has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-12 record this season. As for Collinsville, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-10.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Chico the next time they take the court. Collinsville will head out to face Chico at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Era will host them at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
