Mica Mountain has been on the road for three straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Sahuarita Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Arizona (Mica Mountain is ranked 30th, while Sahuarita is ranked 47th).
Two weeks ago, Mica Mountain kept a clean sheet against Douglas. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Bulldogs.
Mica Mountain was led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Cameron Turner and
Blake Allen, who scored both of Mica Mountain's goals. The pair have combined for a total of six so far this season.
Meanwhile, for the first time since back in January, Sahuarita was forced to settle for a draw on Thursday. They and Walden Grove finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw.
Mica Mountain pushed their record up to 14-5 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road. With that draw, Sahuarita's record moves to 12-7-3.
Mica Mountain skirted past Sahuarita 3-2 in their previous meeting back in January. Will Mica Mountain repeat their success, or does Sahuarita have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
