De Kalb is 2-8 against Queen City since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Bears will head out on the road to take on the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (De Kalb has four straight wins, Queen City has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
If De Kalb beats Queen City with ten runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. The Bears didn't even let Redwater on the board on Tuesday, marking the Bears' second-straight 10-0 shutout. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 17 games by six runs or more this season.
Kaydee Brown was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, TT Ingram was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Hayden Mullins was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-2.
De Kalb was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Redwater only posted a batting average of .000.
Meanwhile, Queen City came up short against Redwater on Friday, falling 11-1.
De Kalb's victory was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Queen City, their loss dropped their record down to 5-15.
Everything went De Kalb's way against Queen City in their previous meeting back in March, as De Kalb made off with a 10-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
