The Cheshire Rams will be playing in front of their home fans against the New Milford Green Wave at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with seven consecutive losses for Cheshire and three for New Milford.
Cheshire pushed their score all the way to 69 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Sheehan by a score of 72-69.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for New Milford, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 51-37 loss to New Fairfield on Thursday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for New Milford in their matchups with New Fairfield: they've now lost three in a row.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Kelvin Mendoza, who scored six points along with three steals. Ryan Esposito was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with ten rebounds and two blocks.
New Milford struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Cheshire dropped their record down to 3-13 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for New Milford, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-13.
