Highland won the last time they faced Granite City and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bulldogs walked away with a 2-0 win over the Warriors. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Highland easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-14.

Kallie Hubbard paced Highland's offense, picking up 11 kills. Hubbard got some help from Bella Russo and her nine assists. Russo was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Highland's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Granite City, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5-1.

Highland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Carterville on the 6th. As for Granite City, they will face off against Metro-East Lutheran at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
