The Brimley Bays will venture away from home to square off against the Hillman Tigers at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
21 must be Brimley's lucky number: they beat Atlanta with that score not once but twice on Wednesday. The Bays beat the Huskies by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 21-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bays.
Micah Morrison was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2025. Brady LeBlanc was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Hillman made easy work of Mio-Au Sable on Thursday and carried off a 12-2 win. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Thunderbolts recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Eddie Pru made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Pru was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Pru is crushing it when it comes to RBI: he's brought in at least three every time he's taken the field this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Evan Crane, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Corbin Schultz, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.
Hillman always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .529 or higher in three consecutive contests.
Hillman's record is now 4-1. As for Brimley, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Brimley couldn't quite finish off Hillman in their previous matchup back in May of 2025 and fell 7-5. Can the Bays avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
