Carroll has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Charles Henderson Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. After both teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky.
Last Tuesday, everything went Carroll's way against Greenville as Carroll made off with a 68-43 win. Given Carroll's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 117th, while Greenville is ranked 328th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Carroll to victory, but perhaps none more so than Michael Culver, who scored 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of N'jia Gosha, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Charles Henderson had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16 points), and they went ahead and made it 11 on Friday. They blew past Highland Home 67-41. Charles Henderson has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 21 points or more this season.
Carroll has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season. As for Charles Henderson, they pushed their record up to 20-10 with that win, which was their ninth straight at home.
Carroll ended up a good deal behind Charles Henderson in their previous matchup back in January, losing 55-40. Can Carroll avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
