Meanwhile, Redeemer Christian didn't have too much trouble with Cornerstone Academy on the road on Tuesday as they won 66-48. The victory was just what Redeemer Christian needed coming off of a 58-27 loss in their prior matchup.
It was another big night for Andrew Parker, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Redeemer Christian's points. Beau Suarez was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals.
Riverside Christian has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Redeemer Christian, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.
Riverside Christian came up short against Redeemer Christian in their previous meeting back in January of 2019, falling 56-44. Thankfully for Riverside Christian, Harrison Pierson (who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 18 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
