The Cornerstone Christian Chargers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 20 points or more this season. Couldn't have asked for a better start to 2024 than the 73-41 blowout they got on the road against Meadowview Christian. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Cornerstone Christian also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
It was another big night for Noah Gassner, who scored 31 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The contest was his 11th in a row with at least ten points. Zeke Adams was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Cornerstone Christian and bumps their season record up to 5-6. As for Meadowview Christian, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cornerstone Christian will take on Trinity Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Meadowview Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Southern Prep Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Southern Prep Academy is on a three-game streak of home losses, Meadowview Christian a three-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change.
