 Wayne Christian was led to victory by  Ava Byrd and  Alanna Verme.  Byrd  had 14  digs and two  aces, while  Verme  had 25  kills, 16  digs,  and four  aces. Verme is  crushing it when it comes to  kills: she's   had at least 12 every time she's  taken the court this season.
Thales Academy Apex's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Wayne Christian, the  win was  the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.
 Thales Academy Apex has  already played their next  match (against Cary Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Wayne Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  3-2  loss against Rocky Mount Academy on the 25th.
