Baseball Recap: Segerstrom Wins Going Away Against Los Amigos

Segerstrom had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Los Amigos on Saturday. Segerstrom blew past Los Amigos 7-1. The win continues a trend for the Jaguars in their matchups with the Lobos: they've now won four in a row.

Segerstrom got a great performance from Sebastian Mejia as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched.

At the plate, Elijah Sandoval was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sebastian Enriquez, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Segerstrom's victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Los Amigos, they dropped their record down to 3-7 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Segerstrom will welcome Costa Mesa at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Costa Mesa will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Segerstrom surely won't give up without a fight. As for Los Amigos, they will venture away from home to take on Loara at 3:15 a.m. on Tuesday. Loara will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
