There's no place like home for the Millbrook Wildcats, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They really took it to Wake Forest for the full four quarters, racking up a 80-50 victory at home. With Millbrook ahead 49-25 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Colt Langdon continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 27 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Langdon is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Kyrie Heredia was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
Wake Forest lost on Tuesday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jayce McDonald, who scored ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Palmer Chase, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
Millbrook has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. As for Wake Forest, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-18.
Millbrook will be playing in front of their home fans against Heritage at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Millbrook knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matchups -- so hopefully Heritage likes a good challenge. As for Wake Forest, they will head out on the road to take on Knightdale at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Knightdale is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 60.7 points per game this season.
