The Fife Trojans will head out to take on the Cedar Park Christian Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Fife is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 15.5 runs per game this season.
Fife's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Foss 19-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Trojans.
Kaitlin Christiansen and Mallory Geving did most of the damage at the plate: Christiansen scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances, while Geving went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Christiansen also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Ashlynn Monroe was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
Fife was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .318 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Cedar Park Christian put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Seattle Christian by a score of 7-3. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by exactly four runs.
Shelby Southard made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Southard is also crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season.
In other batting news, Adelaide Foster was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI. Another player making a difference was Evoleht Stuhr, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.
Cedar Park Christian pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for Fife, their record now sits at 3-1.
Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Fife hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .465. However, it's not like Cedar Park Christian struggles in that department as they've averaged .375. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
