Basketball Recap: Kelliher/Northome Sets Scoring Season-High Against Littlefork-Big Falls

Kelliher/Northome scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 108-101 to the Littlefork-Big Falls Vikings. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (73), the Mustangs still had to take the loss.

Kelliher/Northome's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-1. As for Littlefork-Big Falls, the victory made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kelliher/Northome will take on Polk County West [Climax/Fisher] in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Kelliher/Northome knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Polk County West [Climax/Fisher] likes a good challenge. As for Littlefork-Big Falls, they are taking a road trip to challenge Lake of the Woods at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Littlefork-Big Falls is facing Lake of the Woods at the right time seeing as Lake of the Woods is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
