First Assembly Christian has gone 9-1 against Harding Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Crusaders will welcome the Lions at 4:30 p.m. First Assembly Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.
First Assembly Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Whitehaven with a sharp 18-3 win on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Crusaders.
Henry Jones was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
In other pitching news, Colt Trahan looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three).

Back at the plate, Logan Furnas was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Reece Saliba, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
First Assembly Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .409. They are 7-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Harding Academy's offense. They came up short against St. George's on Tuesday, falling 15-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Gryphons: they've now lost six in a row.
Harding Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for First Assembly Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 12-17-1.
