Conway Springs has been on the road for two straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Collegiate Spartans at TBD on Tuesday. Hopefully Conway Springs focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Conway Springs came up short against Chaparral and fell 57-50.
The losing side was boosted by Melissa Ebenkamp, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Ava Daniel, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Collegiate had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They strolled past El Dorado with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 43-28. Collegiate's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Conway Springs' defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 4-6. As for Collegiate, their win ended a nine-game drought at home and bumped them up to 1-8-1.
Things could have been worse for Conway Springs, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 41-27 loss to Collegiate when the teams last played back in January of 2021. Can Conway Springs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
