Bogalusa has struggled against Fontainebleau recently, as their game on Wednesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Leading Fontainebleau to victory were Brooklynne Callahan and Laderricka Payne. Callahan scored 14 points along with 5 steals, while Payne scored 13 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 steals. Callahan is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Isabelle Chevalier was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with 3 steals.
Bogalusa has yet to win a game at home this season, leaving them with a 0-3 record. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 25.3 points per game. As for Fontainebleau, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.
Bogalusa will head out on the road to face off against De La Salle at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fontainebleau, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against St. Thomas Aquinas at 6:30 p.m. St. Thomas Aquinas will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings (they are ranked 225th, while Fontainebleau is ranked 49th).
