James Mathew and Sol'jier Allen were among the main playmakers for Chillicothe as the former dropped a double-double on 13 points and 16 rebounds and the latter scored 19 points. Mathew is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaishon White, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Penney posted their biggest victory yet this season last Friday. Everything went their way against West Platte as Penney made off with a 67-45 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Penney has posted against West Platte since February 9, 2018.
Chillicothe's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Penney, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.
Everything came up roses for Chillicothe against Penney in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as the team secured a 79-41 victory. Will Chillicothe repeat their success, or does Penney have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
