Port Clinton hadn't done well against Vermilion recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Port Clinton Redskins secured a 46-42 W over the Vermilion Sailors. The win was nothing new for the Redskins as they're now sitting on three straight.

Vermilion lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Mason Cooper, who went 5 for 9 on his way to 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brock Meyers, who went 5 of 11 en route to 13 points.

Port Clinton pushed their record up to 5-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points per game. As for Vermilion, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Port Clinton won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Norwalk at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Vermilion, they will head out to square off against Huron at 7:00 p.m. on January 10th.
