Meanwhile, after soaring to 13 runs the game before, Winslow was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They fell just short of Blue Ridge by a score of 3-2.
Madi Breeze spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits.
At the plate, Winslow saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Angela Salazar, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.
River Valley's win bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Winslow, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.
