The Walker Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 contests by 20 points or more this season. They blew past Fairview 93-73. Walker's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Walker's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jamiya Vann led the charge by scoring 31 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Vann continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Leah Eddards was another key contributor, scoring 22 points along with five assists.
The victory (which was Walker's 21st in a row) raised their record to 23-1. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 31.24 points. As for Fairview, their loss dropped their record down to 22-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Walker will take on Bourgeois at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bourgeois will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings (they are ranked 125th, while Walker is ranked second). As for Fairview, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Natchitoches Central at 6:00 p.m.
