1A-1 Region II District 6 recap November 5, 2013
Cross Roads's Raleigh Seilheimer recorded the longest rushing play in 1A-1 Region II District 6 this season in his game against Cayuga last week. Seilheimer's team lost to the Wildcats as he sprinted for 75 yards on the play and finished with 122 in all.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Italy beat Gateway Charter Academy 28-24. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Gladiators.
Italy's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. TaMarcus Sheppard threw for 174 and 2 touchdowns and Levi McBride had 110 yards receiving. On the ground Sheppard chipped in 173 yards. Trevon Robertson helped Italy's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 58 yards.

Cross Roads' Aaron Arden and Seilheimer led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-0 quarterback Arden has thrown for 1,316 yards this season, while Seilheimer has 37 catches for 561 yards. The Gladiators' Sheppard leads the league in rushing yards with 1,136.
A big matchup in 1A-1 Region II District 6 this week will be when Italy takes on Kerens. At the moment, the Gladiators are in third, while the Bobcats are in second.
Jim Bradford's team lost to Cayuga 67-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Seilheimer ran for 122 yards and caught 3 passes for 17 yards in the loss.
