After ten games on the road, Sahuaro is heading back home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Desert View Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Sahuaro is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Desert View in Arizona (Sahuaro is ranked 11th, while Desert View is ranked 223rd).
On Saturday, Sahuaro strolled past Shadow Ridge with points to spare, taking the game 40-23.
Sahuaro had a senior duo take command as Cassandra Coolidge scored 15 points and Kristen Valdez scored 11 points. The game was Coolidge's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Biale Sika, who scored six points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Desert View's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Sahuaro, falling 65-5. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Desert View has scored all season.
Sahuaro's win bumped their record up to 13-1. As for Desert View, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.
Everything came up roses for Sahuaro against Desert View when the teams last played on Friday as the team secured a 65-5 win. Will Sahuaro repeat their success, or does Desert View have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
