There's no place like home for The Marana Tigers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road two weeks ago. They claimed a resounding 49-8 win over Desert View at home. The result was nothing new for Marana, who have now won three contests by 36 points or more so far this season.
Leading Marana to victory were Darian Dewitt and Colten "Coco" Meyer. Dewitt gained 105 total yards and two touchdowns, while Meyer threw for 274 yards and four touchdowns while completing 84.6% of his passes. Dezmen Roebuck made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Marana's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Desert View, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marana will square off against Casa Grande at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Casa Grande is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games. As for Desert View, they will head out on the road to face off against Cienega at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arizona (Cienega is ranked 92nd, while Desert View is ranked 103rd).
